Mexico First Supplier Of Parts To The U.S. Auto Industry
In the first quarter of 2017, Mexico exported USD 11 thousand million worth of automotive parts and components to the United States, up 3 percent from the same period in 2016. Mexico's market share of U.S. imports in the sector almost reached 40 percent. Mexico remains the top U.S. partner in the automotive supply chain, followed by Canada, with 12 percent of the market, China, with 11.3 percent, and Japan, which has an 11 percent share.
