Fourth largest auto parts manufacturer worldwide during 2021, according to the National Auto Parts Industry (INA). During this period, Mexico invoiced 94.778 billion dollars while Germany invoiced 87.224 billion dollars, which places Mexico above Germany.
This increase is due to the fact that with the trade agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada(T-MEC) there has been a greater increase in the value of regional content, which has strengthened almost 75% of the components are North American, added to the positive impact of the trade war between the United States and China, giving Mexico the opportunity to become the fourth largest auto parts manufacturer in the world.
Alberto Bustamante, director of the National Auto Parts Industry, commented that to date, China continues to be the largest auto parts producer in the world with a production of up to 470 billion dollars, followed by the United States with 228 billion dollars and Japan with 178 billion dollars.
