In December 2012, Italy's trade association, ASSOCOMAPLAST started to take part in the InnoREX Project along with the Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT, Pfinztal (Germany), a project which is funded by the European FP7 Program.

ASSAGO, ITALY  -- Italian plastics and rubber machinery makers expect to produce 4.2 billion euros ($5.5 billion) in equipment this year, with exports of 2.6 billion euros ($3.45 billion), according to Italy's plastic and rubber machinery association Assocomaplast.
Exports of Italian machinery have risen 37% during the first quarter of 2011, compared with the same period last year, according to the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT). Compared with growth during 2010, the number of Italian exports has increased by 27%. Italian machinery manufacturers will be looking to build on this success at ITMA in September.
