For the second quarter of 2014, the textile machinery orders index elaborated by the research department at ACIMIT (the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers), recorded a 6% increase compared to the previous quarter, for an absolute value of 86 points (basis: 2010=100). (See Graph)
The value of Italian textile machinery production for 2011 registered a 9% increase compared to 2010, from 2.4 to 2.6 billion euros. A similar increase was recorded for exports (+10%), which reached a value of just over 2.1 billion euros.

October 2020 data released by Statistics Canada and Trade Data Monitor showed a solid positive growth for Italy’s exports to Canada of technology from the various (15) Machines Italia capital good related sectors.
Even in the last quarter 2019, the collection of machine tool orders highlighted a negative sign. In particular, in the fourth quarter 2019, the UCIMU index of machine tool orders registered a 16% downturn compared with the same period of the previous year.

So far this year, Italian investments in the US have been numerous and have been all over the map.  The US States which have reported a string of recent Italian investments include Tennessee, Virginia, Illinois and Texas.  
The annual members assembly of ASSOCOMAPLAST – the Italian trade association belonging to CONFINDUSTRIA, which groups together over 160 makers of machinery, moulds and equip-ment for plastics and rubber – was held on Friday, 19 June at the Science and Technology Mu-seum in Milan.
Growth for Italy’s natural stone exports confirmed: +13.9% in the first 9 months of 2022.
