$900 Million For VE Battery Components Factory In Quebec

Ford is planning to build a $900 million el cathode d production plant in Bécancour, Quebec, in partnership with South Korean companies EcoProBM and SK On. This plant will produce battery materials used in future Ford electric vehicles, including some pickup trucks. The plant is expected to begin production in the first half of 2026, with a potential capacity of 45,000 tons of active cathode materials (CAM) per year.
