The 2016 financial data for the Italian ceramic and brick machinery industry analysed by the Acimac Research Department – MECS reveal a further improvement in productivity and profitability. According to data elaborated by ACIMIT, the Association Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers for the period from July to September, the orders index for textile machinery has risen by 6% compared to the same period in 2016. The index has a value of 107.3 points (2010 basis = 100). In further detail, foreign markets have shown a 6% increase, with the index reaching a value of 119.4 points. Fimer To Supply Conversion Centres For PV Plant in Mexico

Italian photovoltaics supplier Fimer has sealed €9 million in financing from Sace and Deutsche Bank for the supply of conversion centres for two solar farms in Mexico. Deutsche will issue two performance bonds worth US$4.3 million, which will be backed by Sace. The German bank will also issue a €5 million loan that will be used to finalise supply contracts. Eni Continues To Grow Its Presence In Mexico’s Oil Industry

Eni, a multinational oil and gas company headquartered in Italy, has been granted 3 of 10 offshore blocks awarded by Mexico’s National Hydrocarbon Commission (CNH) in the Sureste Basin, in the Gulf of Mexico.
