Crippa S.p.A.
Overview:
65 Years Of Tube Processing Experience
Crippa was founded as a one-man company by Agostino Crippa in 1948 and became a limited company in 1977. For over a half century Crippa’s expertise has been sharply focused on designing and producing machines for bending and working metal tubes.
Today Crippa is internationally recognized as a leader in the field with a reputation for delivering innovative, high quality machines and solutions.
Experience And Innovation
For more than 65 years, Crippa SpA has designed and delivered machines and processes that apply advanced technological solutions for bending and manufacturing metallic tubes.
Crippa was the first to:
-
Build a CNC tube bending machine
-
Build a tube bending machine with integral left and right capabilities
-
Build tube bending machines able to handle different radii and different planes
-
Integrate variable radii in bending process
-
Build a fully electric tube bending machine
Quality Policy
Crippa’s Quality Management System was certified to ISO 9001:2000 requirements by an internationally accredited Certification agency in 2003.
Our Quality Policy promotes:
-
A continuous search for improvement to maximize the efficiency of all company activities
-
Pursuit of customer satisfaction through the quality of both our products and our service
-
Ongoing staff training to increase both skills and performance
Quality Approach
We constantly monitor:
-
Supplier performance;
-
Our own performance on key measurements such as on-time delivery and compliance with supply requirements;
-
The cost of missing quality goals caused by both internal and external factors;
-
Customer Satisfaction with the quality of our products and services;
-
The growth of staff knowledge from ongoing learning and training activities
These indicators are continually assessed by General Management and form the basis for the definition of new quality goals.
Quality Policy is reviewed and verified periodically as part of regular Management Reviews to ensure its continuous suitability
Crippa will take part to FABTECH 2011 14/17th November - Chicago

150HE More info
Category:
Description:
The Heavy 150HE are ideal for applications that require the simultaneous use of several tooling sets, as it can produce complex shapes even on thin wall tubes. The bending head design assures high rigidity to accommodate heavy workloads, and the long vertical axis increases the number of available working planes, while supporting ergonomic load/unload operations. The relatively small size of the head allows bending of complex parts in a single cycle, even for tube geometries that normally require right- and left-hand bending. In addition, an optional “Tangent Boost” device is available to axially push tubes during the bending process in the slide/wiper die zone to minimize waste by reducing required cut lengths.
All nine axes are driven by electric motors with digital Full Electric technology and controlled by the Siemens 840 Dsl CNC; there are no hydraulics.
This provides high quality, energy conservation, and low (to zero) waste setup. An intuitive interface on the integral color LCD screen, three-dimensional graphics software, and User ISO Interface (UII) facilitate simulation, and optimization of the bending cycle. Crippa Heavy 150HE machines are pre-configured to be easily integrated into working cells.

Description:
This machine is characterized by its great stiffness which aims at combining the best rigidity during endforming operations with compactness and space-saving.
The jaw is characterized by its big size. Its opening can be programmed in order to optimize the stroke and to reduce the cycle time. This makes it possible to also block the tube in the bend in case of complex geometries.
The absence of the columns in the machine’s structure eliminates any possible interference between the machine and the tubes during production.
The standard equipment provides a single forward movement of all the punches, nevertheless the machine can be equipped with a single forward movement for each punching unit.
This specific option makes it possible to use punching units with different dimensions without collisions or interferences between the tooling and the tubes. This solution was conceived in order to make possible the interface of customer’s existing tools.
Thanks to its gooseneck structure, the machine is completely opened and it can be accessible from three sides. This means incomparable ergonomics.
But the flexibility of this machine is not limited to its structural plus. This endforming machine is equipped with CN control which allows the automation of the programs and the optimization of productivity and cycle times.
The machine can be completed with the “SAVE ENERGY” optional device, which allows a significant energy saving in comparison with same-size machineries.
