According to the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade of the State of Guanajuato (COFOCE), from January to September 2024, exports from the state reached 29,962 million dollars, a variation of 14.39% more than the same period in 2023.

According to data from the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), Guanajuato maintains its fifth place as a nationally exported state and first non-border exporting state.

The performance of the different sectors individually is recorded as follows and their percentage of exports:

1. Industry sector: 90.3%. 

2. Agrifood: 6.4% 3. 

Fashion: 2.6% 4.

4. Construction: 0.4% 5. 

5. Handicrafts 0.3%.

On the other hand the main export destinations are:

1. United States 

2. Canada

3. Brazil 

4. Colombia 

5. China

6. Guatemala 

7. Puerto Rico 

8. Australia 

9. Chile

10.- Japan

“Guanajuato demonstrates once again that it is a fertile field for the internationalization of MSME's, which represent the majority of the companies on the state's export register with 80 percent, during the third quarter of 2024,” reported COFOCE.
