Italian Trade Agency Joins Arm Institute Member Consortium, Affirms The Italian Trade Agency’s Commitment To Supporting Italian Companies Within The US Advanced Manufacturing Ecosystem

The Italian Trade Agency (ITA) has officially joined the ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Institute member consortium to support Italian companies and their U.S. subsidiaries in establishing or reinforcing their active presence in advanced manufacturing-related research and development within the United States.

ITA will collaborate with other ARM Institute Members, sharing and exchanging valuable information. One of ITA’s key objectives is to assist in developing workforce training and education programs. These programs empower the U.S. workforce, especially within Italian-owned subsidiaries, enabling effective utilization and collaboration with robots across various manufacturing environments.

By joining the consortium, ITA plans to create a bridge for Italian companies to join and participate in the ARM Institute Consortium.   ITA’s network of diverse expertise, spans various disciplines such as sensor technologies, end-effector technologies, software development, artificial intelligence, materials science, human-machine behavior modeling, and quality assurance.

As a Member of the ARM Institute, ITA will be able to leverage the ARM Institute's national reach, network with other ARM Institute Members, participate in the ARM Institute's Annual Member and other member-exclusive events, understand best practices and trends, and more. ARM Members also benefit from a digital collaboration space where they can connect virtually, access industry research, learn more about ARM Institute projects, access project outputs, and more. The sharing of information and best practices on the use of robotics and AI in manufacturing will be valuable to consortium members with a presence in the USA.

On the occasion of IMTS 2024, the ITA and ARM Institute announced in person, the establishment of this partnership, along with representatives of Italy’s leading metalworking manufacturers’ association, UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, and the US’s leading manufacturing associations, AMT - Association for Manufacturing Technology and SME during the September 11, 2024 “Italian Night @ IMTS 2024” Dinner Cruise in Chicago.
