The visit to Mexico of Italy's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, has marked the beginning of a new stage of economic collaboration between the two countries, with an agenda focused on strengthening exports, investment and business integration. Tajani will lead an official mission until May 24, during which he will hold meetings with Mexican authorities, business leaders and members of the Italian community, in addition to participating in the Italy-Mexico Business Forum.

During the meeting with businessmen, representatives of Italian companies such as Pirelli reaffirmed their commitment to Mexico as a strategic destination for industrial and technological development. The Mexican private sector agreed that this alliance will make it possible to promote joint projects in advanced manufacturing, semiconductors, energy and information technologies.

Priority topics include global digital transformation, artificial intelligence, circular economy and the strengthening of supply chains. The entrepreneurs also highlighted the positive precedent of Italian-Mexican collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic, when specialized machinery sent from Italy allowed vaccines to be packaged in Mexican territory in record time.
