Most favorable regions for industry in Mexico

In March 2024, with seasonally adjusted figures, the states with the strongest monthly growth in industrial activity were Durango, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas, Aguascalientes, and Mexico City.

At annual rate and with seasonally adjusted series, the states with the most significant increases in their industrial production were Quintana Roo, Durango, Hidalgo, Oaxaca and Yucatan.

These increases underscore the dynamism of these regions in terms of industrial production, consolidating their position as engines of growth within the country.

In the minerals sector, with original data and at an annual rate, the following States stood out for their increases:

  • Baja California

  • Michoacán de Ocampo

  • Yucatán

  • Guanajuato

  • Quintana Roo

In the area of generation, transmission, distribution and commercialization of electricity, as well as the supply of water and natural gas through pipelines to the final consumer, these are the states with the largest increases:

  • Quintana Roo

  • Nayarit

  • Tabasco

  • Estado de México

  • Hidalgo

In the Construction sector, the most relevant increases were observed in:

  • Quintana Roo

  • Durango

  • Hidalgo

  • Baja California

  • Chihuahua

  • Campeche

Finally, in the manufacturing industries, significant advances were recorded in:

  • Oaxaca

  • Quintana Roo

  • Veracruz

  • Baja California Sur

  • Tamaulipas

  • Tlaxcala

These states have demonstrated their ability to adapt and grow, boosting manufacturing and strengthening their local economies. Growth in this sector is an indicator of investor confidence and the development of key projects in these areas.
