PA S.p.A. will open its first foreign branch this fall. The choice is the U.S., but it will not be in a major city on the country's east or west coast but rather in the Minneapolis suburb of Bloomington, (Minnesota) and will serve as the group's North American headquarters.
The company manufactures high-pressure cleaning accessories for industrial production whose main applications are in the automotive industry, and the United States is the company's largest market.
"We chose Minnesota not only because of its proximity to our customers, but also because we felt that, being a highly industrialized area, it could offer a wide range of technical suppliers and a highly skilled workforce," Stefania Benetti, CEO of PA S.p.A., said in a statement. "Our goal is to replicate the superior quality for which we are known, in a completely different environment. We believe Minnesota will enable us to achieve this goal. Also, being an international hub and a very vibrant area, I look forward to moving here."
The company purchased what had been an empty 65,000-square-foot industrial building at 1600 92nd Street West, Bloomington in the state of Minnesota.
The office is expected to open this fall and will have 12 employees during its first year of operation.
