Leonardo Finmeccanica, through its German subsidiary Selex ES, has signed a contract with the Canadian government to provide a national weather radar network to Environment and Climate Change Canada, the body for environmental protection policies and programs.

The agreement, the financial details of which remain confidential, provides for the supply, delivery and installation of 20 weather radar systems and related infrastructure, including support services such as production of user manuals, training and project management, with an option for an additional 13 pieces of equipment.
