JUROP was founded in 1976 by four partners, a couple of them having multiple years of experience in Vacuum technology, with the purpose of manufacturing vacuum pumps destined mainly to agricultural slurry-spreaders. After only three years, the partners decided to enlarge the scope of their activity and open a second factory (in Azzano Decimo) which started the production of the first “truck-mounted” vacuum-tanker, followed shortly by the more complex “combination vacuum & jetting unit”. At this same time the range of vacuum pumps kept steadily increasing, moving away from the agricultural non-cooled models to the more developed liquid-cooled type. By the early ninety’s the market demand of said machinery registered such levels most companies were compelled to ’specialize’ and Jurop chose to specialize in pumps and truck mounted equipment, with the handling and transportation of liquid waste. This resulted to the manufacturing and distribution of a second line of pumps, namely the Positive Displacement Lobe Pump, Jurop’s VL pumps; more and more used on liquid waste and similar handling machinery. Today Jurop, owned by family Santarossa, can rightly affirm to be world renowned (in 2007, products were delivered to 56 different countries in all continents) and to certainly be in a leading position in Vacuum Technology.
