Manufacturing industries registered a 3.1% growth in March, compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the Monthly Indicator of Industrial Activity, prepared by the National Institute of Geography and Statistics (INEGI).
The manufacture of accessories, electrical appliances and electric power generation equipment and the manufacture of transportation equipment led the highest growth percentages in the month of reference, with 6.7% and 5.1%, respectively.
According to the Institute's indicator, the third and fourth fastest growing industries as of the third month of 2025 were the plastics and rubber industry and the manufacture of metal products, with growth of 4.8% and 3.8%.
In addition, printing related industries reported 3.6% more than in the same month of the previous year, while the paper industry and textiles followed in descending order of the fastest growing subsectors, with 2.6% and 2.4%.
Other subsectors of the manufacturing industry that registered upward figures were those related to food, machinery and equipment, basic metal industry and other manufacturing industries.
