During the first four months of the year, the United States of America continues to be Mexico's main trading partner to which heavy vehicle production is exported, with the sale of 40,772 units.
According to the Report of the Administrative Registry of the Automotive Heavy Vehicle Industry, other countries were the second most important export destination, while Canada was in third place, with 3.4% of the total.
The information, prepared by the National Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI), showed that during April, the Volvo Buses brand was the only one that presented an annual percentage increase, with a 7.1% increase in exports.
Although wholesale and retail sales also decreased during April, brands such as Foton, Dina and SHACMAN did register increases in their sales, with increases of up to 136% in the first case and 41% and 17% in the following, in terms of retail sales.
April 2025 saw a 24% decline in the production of heavy transport units, while exports were down by 21.3%.
