With a conference to be held in Milan, at the l Campus Bovisa of the Politecnico di Milano, on February 21, 2018, Machines Italia USA and ICE-Agenzia will launch a series of technology road shows in the United States, open to the participation of Italian companies in the mechanics and capital goods sector.
Through the Manufacturing USA plan and other similar interventions at both the federal and state jurisdiction levels, the U.S. is aiming to regain global leadership in advanced manufacturing. Companies have begun investing heavily in technology, especially Smart Technologies and IIOT, creating opportunities for companies, Italian, suppliers of highly innovative machinery and equipment.
With Italy - U.S. Advanced Manufacturing Conference 2018 and the technology road shows, ICE-Agenzia aims to strengthen these opportunities, supporting the Italian offer and facilitating the meeting between the various actors involved in the decision-making processes related to the purchase of manufacturing technology.
The route of the technology road shows will touch, during 2018, important industrial areas of the United States, adapting, for each stage, content, speakers and technologies to reflect the specific industrial vocations of the area. Institutions, research centers and the business community will be invited to participate in the road shows in order to create a dialectical discussion on the technological evolution of the manufacturing sector in the two countries and the possibility of creating lasting partnerships and collaborations.

U.S. speakers confirmed for the Milan conference in February include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Also expected are representatives of major U.S. industrial groups, current or potential users of Made in Italy technology.
